Terms of Use
Note: ResOn is in its beta phase. These terms apply from the moment of registration and may be adjusted during the beta phase.
1. Provider & scope
These terms of use govern the use of the ResOn platform, operated by:
Michael Scholz · MSc - IT Services
c/o IP-Management #11093 · Ludwig-Erhard-Strasse 18 · 20459 Hamburg · Germany
Email: info@reson.social
By registering with ResOn you accept these terms as binding. They apply to the use of the app as well as the website reson.social.
2. Service
ResOn is a free social platform centred on music. It allows you to create a profile, share posts, images and opinions about music, follow other users and interact through comments and reactions. Music metadata (e.g. song and artist information) is provided by third-party services and is not ResOn's own content.
There is no entitlement to permanent availability. We reserve the right to change, restrict or discontinue features at any time — particularly during the beta phase.
ResOn contains links to external ticket and accommodation providers (e.g. Eventim, Ticketmaster, Reservix, and accommodation via the intermediary Stay22). Some of these are affiliate links for which we may receive a commission on a booking; this incurs no additional cost for you. Bookings and purchases are concluded solely between you and the respective third-party provider under its terms. ResOn is not a party to those contracts and assumes no warranty for the availability, prices, booking processing or services of these providers.
3. Registration & user account
An account is required to use ResOn. You must be at least 16 years old. Users under 18 confirm upon registration that a legal guardian has consented to their use.
You are obliged to keep your credentials confidential and not to share them with third parties. You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account. Please inform us immediately at info@reson.social if you notice any misuse of your account.
One account per person is permitted. Creating fake accounts or impersonating another identity is not allowed.
4. Content & licence
You retain all rights to the content you publish on ResOn. By uploading or sharing content, however, you grant ResOn a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and technically process that content as part of operating the platform (e.g. storage, image resizing). This licence ends when the respective content or your account is deleted.
You are responsible for ensuring that the content you publish does not infringe the rights of third parties — in particular copyright.
5. Prohibited content & rules of conduct
ResOn is a place for exchange around music — respectful, open and fair. The following content and behaviour are not permitted:
- Hate speech, discrimination or attacks based on origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other characteristics
- Harassment, threats or targeted bullying of other users
- Content glorifying violence, pornographic content or content otherwise harmful to minors
- Content that infringes the rights of third parties, in particular copyright
- Spam, automated mass actions or the use of bots
- Spreading false information or deliberately misleading content
- Advertising or commercial offers without explicit permission
- Any actions that impair the operation of the platform or harm other users
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules without prior notice.
6. ResOn's intellectual property
All rights to the name ResOn, the logo, the design of the app and website as well as to content created by us belong to Michael Scholz / MSc - IT Services. Use outside the platform is not permitted without explicit consent.
7. Suspension & termination
You can delete your account at any time — either directly in the app or by request to info@reson.social.
We reserve the right to temporarily suspend or permanently delete accounts in the event of violations of these terms. In serious cases — particularly repeated or severe violations — suspension may occur without prior warning.
8. Liability
ResOn provides the platform to the best of its knowledge and ability, but accepts no liability for content published by users. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of music metadata provided by third parties.
Liability for slight negligence is excluded as far as legally permissible, unless it concerns the breach of essential contractual obligations, damages arising from injury to life, body or health, or claims under the German Product Liability Act.
9. Changes to these terms
We may adjust these terms of use as required. Registered users will be informed about material changes by email or by a notice in the app. Continued use of ResOn after the new terms take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Applicable law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. As far as legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction is the provider's registered office.
